The Flip That Flipped Our Lives
We didn’t just flip this house — we lived it.
Fresh off our wedding, we moved into a 3,000 sq. ft. home that looked like it had potential. What we didn’t expect was a full-on renovation nightmare. From moldy carpets soaked in years of dog urine to unexpected surprises behind every wall, this house tested us in every way possible.
But we rolled up our sleeves and dove in — side by side. As newlyweds learning how to be partners in both life and business, we took on every challenge together. Demo days turned into date nights, and design choices were made over takeout and paint samples.
And just when things felt like they couldn’t get more intense... we found out we were expecting our first child.
With a baby on the way and the pressure mounting, we poured every ounce of energy into making this home not just beautiful — but market-ready. Every room became a labor of love (and stress), every dollar carefully spent, and every decision made with our growing family in mind.
We finished the flip and closed the sale one month before our son was born.
Was it exhausting? Absolutely.
Was it worth it? Every second.
This project pushed us, taught us, and bonded us in ways we never expected. It wasn’t just a house — it was a chapter of our story. And now, we get to share it with you.
One Hundred Hats
One House. A Hundred Hats. The Flip That Defined Us.
This wasn’t just another flip. This was our home, our challenge, and our breakthrough.
Right after getting married, we moved into a 3,000 sq. ft. fixer-upper that looked promising on paper — but turned out to be an absolute wreck. The carpets were soaked in dog pee, mold was hiding under every corner, and the home needed a full-blown overhaul from the studs up.
And instead of hiring it all out, I took the lead — in every role imaginable.
🔨 As a licensed real estate broker, I sourced the deal and ran comps.
📊 As the investor, I crunched numbers, calculated risk, and forecasted the ROI.
🛠️ As the project manager, I coordinated the chaos and kept the vision on track.
💡 And when we needed it most — I picked up the tools myself. I became the carpenter, the plumber, the electrician, and the laborer. Long nights. Early mornings. Repeat.
All while learning how to be a husband.
And halfway through the project — we found out we were expecting our first child.
Every decision became even more personal. Every repair more urgent. We weren’t just flipping a house anymore — we were building a foundation for our growing family and our future in real estate.
We poured everything we had into this home. And by the grace of God and a ton of late nights, we sold it just one month before our son was born.
This project taught me the true meaning of ownership — not just over property, but over responsibility, commitment, and vision. We lived the flip. We lived the grind. And we came out stronger because of it.
